Our Mission
The Alaska Kidney Patients Association is committed to providing support, education and advocacy for kidney patients and their families, encouraging organ donation, public education and the prevention of kidney disease.

Aimee's Story
I continue to run, to hike, to bike, to swim and to spend time with my mom. I enjoy all the same activities I did before I donated, I just do it with more passion now. Because through donating I've learned to treasure each moment, each sunrise, each sunset, each person. Life is truly lived when it is given away.
Tyler at 29 years old.
Tyler's Story
19 years have passed since Tyler got his kidney. It has been an amazing adventure, watching Tyler grow to adulthood, living a life with his kidney transplant that never would have been possible on dialysis.19 years later, Tyler’s living kidney donor rarely even remembers she only has one kidney.
Our Family
5 with 6 Story
I love trying to figure out what personalized license plates say. It’s like a mini puzzle right in front of you. Our family is the one in the minivan with the license plate that says “5with6”. You see, there are 5 of us in our family and we only have 6 kidneys between us.
Judi's Story
Judie became a living kidney donor in October 2012. She is an outspoken advocate for living kidney donation, works out a three times a week, is an Alaska Kidney Patients’ Board Member, sings in her church choir, is always on the go, and is currently planning a trip to France.
